39th Championship of Mathematical and Logical Games

The championship of mathematical and logical games is a popular and school competition organised every year in Europe and beyond. Mathematics aficionados of all ages from about twelve countries participate in this competition. The international final will be held in Tunisia this year. The FSJM (Swiss Federation of Mathematical Games) has been organising the Swiss part of this championship for now more than 30 years.

Calendar

The championship starts with individual and school quarterfinals and continues with semifinals, a Swiss final and, finally, an international final. The participants have to answer as fast as possible a given number of problems, depending on their category. The number of correct answers as well as the time taken to solve the problems determines the final score and the ranking of each participant.

Categories and Registration Fees

The names of the categories comes from the French school system, where the championship originated. The school years below match with the Swiss HarmoS standards.

Participating in the quarterfinals is free. A registration fee is asked to the participants of the semifinals, to cover the logistics costs of the event. In accordance with our statutes, all the people participating in the organisation of the event are volunteers.
